HAEMATOLOGY LABORATORY

The department of hematology of the YIACO Adan Diagnostic Centre is located on the second floor of the diagnostic centre in the Al-Adan Hospital Complex.

The centre is manned by one hematologist and 16 medical technologists.

This modern clinical diagnostic centre is equipped with the state of the art blood cell counters and coagulation analyzers for performing the routine hematological tests. Be it part of the hospital work up or your regular health check. We are at your service with the results delivered to you within the least possible time. In times of need, special tests for hematological disorders like thalassemia, hemophilia, leukemia and other inborn hematological disorders like enzyme deficiency, sickle cell disease can be performed at this centre. To suit your convenience, we have the centralized facility for collection your samples using vacutainer techniques and the results are made available as you wait.

We maintain rigorous quality control on all the tests done at the centre so that you can depend on the results completely. We are part of the international quality assurance programme done under the auspices of RIQAS in UK

The department is fully equipped with Sysmex XE1800, Sysmex XT 2100 and Sysmex KX 21 blood cell counters, CA500 and CA1500 Coagulation analyzers from Dade Bering Germany along with Platelet Function analyzer PFA-100 for platelet function studies along with Sebia Hydrasys for Hemoglobin Electrophoresis and HPLC by Shimadzu

The blood bank is well equipped for all kinds of blood products and components you might require.
